Rick Steves brought us to best restaurants and offered us all the local specialties to try. The meals included on the tour are so good, filling, and have enough variety for even the pickiest palate.
Each hotel we stayed in was quaint, relaxing, and unique to the area. And they offered amazing breakfast in the morning to start our day!

We are Joe, Jan, Caitlin, Steve & Kelly! Believe it or not, this was Steve & Kelly's 10th Rick Steves tour! Along the way, they have hooked Joe, Jan, and Caitlin to Rick Steves tours, adding a second tour to their list and planning for a third to Portugal this year! We all have fallen in love with Rick Steves for unique reasons but can all agree that Rick Steves brings experiences and memories that you can't find anywhere else! We are so excited to have the opportunity to rave about our Adriatic trip here in our Tour Scrapbook! A Tribute to our Tour Guide
Mariam
The heart and soul of Rick Steves' tours are the tour guides. They always manage to find the most outstanding guides. There are average tour guides, and then there are the ones we will remember forever. Our guide, Mariam Abdelghani, was a true gem. If you ever have the chance to go on one of her tours, I would highly recommend it! It was not a trip – IT WAS AN ADVENTURE! She was deeply knowledgeable yet entertaining and charming at the same time. She was an engaging storyteller and had the ability to communicate very effectively. You can tell she loves her job and she goes the extra mile. She knew so much about the culture, the locals, the geography, and I don’t believe there was a question that she could not answer. She far exceeded our expectations. We still keep in touch with her to this day! We love and miss you Mariam!
