We headed south along Dalmatian Coast and took a ferry over to our island getaway of Korčula. We were free to wander the narrow alleys of Korčula's medieval quarter and visit the historic landmarks of the St. Mark's Cathedral and the Marco Polo Museum. Then we cleaned up for an evening happy-hour boat cruise.

Korčula (Day 11)

Korčula is home to a spectacular wine culture, a stunning old city, a collection of hidden beaches, endless olive groves, and some unique dining specialties. Korčula Old Town is a typical medieval walled Dalmatian town, with its round defensive walls and towers and red-roofed houses. The famous world traveler and writer, Marco Polo, is reputed to have been born here and his supposed house of birth will shortly be turned into a Museum of Marco Polo.

Boat Cruise (Day 11)

Our incredible boat tour took us on a scenic view around the island. Our group provided lots of yummy snacks and drinks and we spent time relaxing and getting to know one another while cruising around in the Adriatic Sea.
